New Chart: Mr Z’s July Jams!

I just added a new chart on Beatport DJ: Mr Z’s July Jams! Some of the tunes I’ve been loving in July include a new take on the classic, “You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)” by Director’s Cut with B Slade on vocals. Soul Story by Le Vinyl, Javi Bora, and Melohman — a Defected release, really captures the essence of summer to me, I love that roots mix. Other tunes include the ever funky Kraak & Smaak delivering “Runnin’”, Noir’s Around remixed by Rudimental, The Soulsearcher’s “Boogie Up the Nation” edit by Joey Negro, and “S.E.X.” by L’Renee and Omar S, and Alex Kenji’s “Get Funky” — the name says it all. Also, I recently discovered the label Chopshop and I am really loving their releases, “Nautilus” is by far my favorite.

What are your favorite tunes from July?

New Chart featuring Classic House, Classic Reworks, and New House

I’ve added a new chart to Beatport DJ, “House is a Feeling”. My chart features old school tracks like the House Music Anthem — Move Your Body by Marshall Jefferson, Victor Simonelli’s Clap Yo Hands, Can You Feel It by Deep Creed and Sunday School’s House is a Feeling. I’m also feeling some new school remixes of old school tracks like Promised Land by the Hoxton Whores, Pete Gooding’s mix of the classic Your Love by Frankie Knuckles and Jamie Principle, as well as Din Daa Daa by George Kranz remixed by Frank Boissey. To round it out some new skool joints like Paco Maroto’s tech house banger, Back to House, Fred Everything and Giom’s new deep house gem, Luv Lust, Frankie Knuckles and B. Slade’s Get Over You remixed by Gifted Souls. Hope you enjoy!
